In June 2025, Gulnara Ruchkina, Dean of the Faculty of Law at FinUniversity, participated in a series of meetings held in Rabat and Marrakech, Kingdom of Morocco, focused on international legal collaboration. The events brought together members of the Regional Council of Marrakech-Safi, distinguished professors, lawyers, and attorneys from Morocco, as well as representatives from Russia, including notaries, legal professionals, and university officials from Russian law schools.
The discussions centered on expanding legal cooperation and exchanging expertise in legal and economic fields. Participants explored opportunities to establish institutional channels to support ongoing professional exchange. A key highlight was the comparison of the Moroccan and Russian notarial systems, especially considering both countries are active members of the International Union of Latin Notaries (UINL), which provides a solid foundation for more effective and professional collaboration.
At the meeting held at the headquarters of the Moroccan Bar Association (ABAM) in Rabat, several core issues were addressed, including legal education and training, experience sharing, challenges posed by globalization and artificial intelligence developments, and a shared commitment to justice and international law. Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between Morocco and Russia in areas such as advocacy, judicial systems, legal expertise, and education.
During these meetings, the parties reached several important agreements on joint projects aimed at combining their expertise to develop innovative solutions for pressing legal issues. These initiatives are expected to lay the groundwork for long-term professional collaboration between Moroccan and Russian partners. Both sides expressed optimism about building a lasting partnership based on mutual exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of justice.
