Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, in collaboration with the Federal Service for Labour and Employment (Rostrud), is proud to announce the launch of a unique professional retraining program, “Labour Market Management and Employment,” conducted in French. This program is specifically designed for specialists from labour inspectorates and employment services of African countries—Burundi and Burkina Faso.
Under the leadership of Vice-Rector for Continuing Professional Education, E.A. Didenko, the Department of Continuing Professional Education at the Financial University has undertaken extensive organizational and preparatory work for this initiative, with the project’s foundation laid over six months ago.
The first cohort of participants will commence their studies in September 2025 at the International Business School of the Financial University.
This program is being implemented within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the Financial University and Rostrud, signed on March 11, 2025.
“This strategic educational project is aimed at strengthening international cooperation between Russia and African countries, as well as promoting the development of effective labour regulation systems on the continent. We are sharing with our African colleagues the best management practices in labour supervision, workers’ rights protection, and public employment administration,” stated Alla Kanke, Director of the International Business School
She emphasized that the program marks the first stage of a long-term partnership: in the future, the project’s geography will expand, new training directions will be launched, and joint research initiatives in the field of labour will be developed.
Key Advantages of the Program:
- Practice-oriented approach: focus on real cases from Russian experience
- Adaptation of global standards: modern methodologies proven to be effective
- Expert faculty: instructors from the Financial University, Rostrud, and invited specialists
- Long-term partnership: training professionals for African countries with a view to future cooperation
“During the preparation of this program, our International Business School team truly fell in love with Africa. We are now enthusiastically preparing to welcome the first cohort in September and are already making plans for 2026–2027 with other friendly countries of the African continent,” concluded Alla Kanke
