On September 18, 2025, the Financial University hosted the opening of a professional retraining program titled “Labour Market Management and Employment”, delivered by the University with the support and participation of the Federal Service for Labour and Employment of the Russian Federation.
The training is conducted within the quota established by the Government of the Russian Federation for educating foreign nationals and stateless persons in areas supervised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
At the International School of Business (Institute) of the Financial University, 30 participants from Burkina Faso and 13 participants from the Republic of Burundi have begun their studies. Over the course of eight months, they will master advanced Russian management practices in labour and employment, explore contemporary international labour relations, study Russian labour and employment legislation, and gain insight into the activities of the State Labour Inspectorate and federal oversight in the field of labour.
As part of the program, students will take part in a field research module, complete a project assignment, and undertake an internship in the Russian Federation in April 2026.
The opening ceremony was attended by Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the Financial University, and Mikhail Ivankov, Head of the Federal Service for Labour and Employment, who addressed the participants with words of welcome.
