On February 27, 2026, a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement between the Financial University and Rusvietpetro Company took place. The document was signed by Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the Financial University, and Mr. Nguyen Tri Dung, First Deputy General Director of Rusvietpetro. The agreement lays the foundation for a long-term partnership in the fields of education and science.
"Today's event is a continuation of the extensive work that the Financial University has been undertaking to develop international cooperation with Vietnam. Among our alumni are finance ministers and prominent statesmen of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. I am confident that the partnership with Rusvietpetro will strengthen the ties between our countries, make education more practice-oriented, and provide graduates with new employment opportunities in reputable companies," noted Stanislav Prokofiev.Under the signed agreement, Rusvietpetro will act as a strategic and educational partner. The cooperation involves the participation of the company's practicing experts in the educational process in the format of "Visiting Professors," as well as assistance in the practical training of students. This will allow students to immerse themselves in the professional specifics and enhance their competitiveness in the labor market.
A key area of interaction will be the support of the educational program "World Politics and Geo-energetics," which has been successfully implemented at the university since 2025. The program's academic supervisor is Pavel Shevtsov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo and Professor at the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social Sciences and Mass Communications, Financial University. The educational process also involves leading experts in the fuel and energy sector, including Konstantin Simonov, Head of the Department of Political Science at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Mass Communications and General Director of the National Energy Security Fund.
The Financial University initiated the creation of the Russian-Vietnamese Consortium of Economic Universities and actively interacts with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation. Additionally, the university's Faculty of Social Sciences and Mass Communications is working on opening a Vietnamese Study Room, which will become a new hub for students interested in the country's culture and history.
A number of joint research programs and academic exchanges are currently being implemented. Future plans include launching double-degree programs between Russian and Vietnamese universities, which will mark a new stage in the development of educational cooperation between the two countries.
