The educational program of higher education “FinTech in Tourism and Hospitality (partially implemented in English)” is a master’s degree program implemented by the Financial University in the direction of training 43.04.02 Tourism, which is developed and implemented in accordance with the Federal Law “On Education in the Russian Federation” (29.12.2012 No. 273-FZ) and on the basis of the educational standard of higher education of the federal state educational budgetary institution of higher education “Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation” taking into account the requirements of the labor market.
A distinctive feature of the program is the study of modern financial technologies based on the best practices of business development in tourism and hospitality, as well as conducting basic disciplines in English.
Within the framework of this educational program, active research is being carried out, it is planned to publish articles in leading domestic journals and participate in international scientific conferences and competitions of scientific papers. Leading scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Tourism and Hotel Business and the Department of Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance of the Faculty of Economics and Business, as well as practitioners and financial services, leading specialists of investment, consulting firms and hospitality companies are involved in the educational process. We actively use interactive educational technologies (research projects, computer workshops, including at the BLOOMBERG International Financial Laboratory, etc.) as well as information and analytical systems for professional market analysis (SPARK, RUSLANA, Thomson Reuters Eikon, IMF Data, etc).
As part of implementing the master’s program, special attention is paid to theoretical and practical training taking into account the requirements of employers, including the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rosturizm).
