Program description

The master’s program “Corporate Management” is a new generation program which is aimed at training specialists who are able to form and maintain a system of corporate management in companies, make balanced investment decisions, ensuring sustainable development of the company. Graduate students study modern approaches to corporate management and problem-solving processes, both at the executive management level and the board of directors level. It is also focused on training highly qualified and competent specialists of the highest level for corporate management of companies in all areas of the economy.

Belyaeva Irina Yurievna

  • Doctor of Economics, Professor.
  • Academic Supervisor of the Department of Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance.
  • Member of the National Register of Professional Corporate Directors,  member of the Corporate Governance and Investment Committee and the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the Russian Managers Association, an active academic member of the Russian Municipal Academy.

Igor Vyacheslavovich Belikov

  • PhD in History.
  • Director of the Russian Institute of Directors. Authored the book “The Board of Directors: A New Approach" (Moscow, 2019) and more than 200 publications on corporate governance (including in the UK, Germany and the USA). 
  • Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Professional Community of Corporate Directors. 
  • Member of the Board of the Institute of Internal Auditors. 
  • 1997-1999 – Chairman of the Corporate Governance & Investment Committee of the Russian Managers Association. 
  • Member of the Expert Council on Corporate Governance of the Bank of Russia, member of the Expert Council on Corporate Governance of the Ministry of Economic Development, member of the Large Company Committee of the Expert and Advisory Council under the Federal Property Management Agency.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to

  • Develop proposals to the board of directors to improve the effectiveness of corporate governance in a company;
  • Manage the structural subdivision of the company on the basis of the main corporate governance principles;
  • Apply the basic mechanisms of effective corporate governance to protect property rights and other stakeholders;
  • Manage corporate property;
  • Plan and organize the work of the structural subdivision of the economic entity which performs the functions of a corporate secretary.

Compliance in Corporate Governance

The discipline is dedicated to studying the role and function of compliance in the corporate governance system.

Control in Corporate Management System

The purpose of the discipline is to prepare graduate students for their future professional activity in the competitive environment.

Corporate Law

The objective of the discipline is to provide graduate students with theoretical and practical knowledge and skills required to determine the essence and peculiarities of the corporate law.

Functionality of a Corporate Board of Directors

Graduate students receive the necessary set of competencies in order to carry out professional activity.

Corporate Managerial Decision-Making Process

The discipline reveals specific features of managerial decision-making in corporations and their legal regulations, peculiarities of the algorithm for the development, and decision-making processes in the corporation.
