Program description

The Master’s degree program “Economics and Modeling of Business Processes in the Fuel and Energy Sector Strategies” is focused on teaching theoretical and practical skills in the development and implementation of business processes at enterprises in the fuel and energy complex. The program involves methods of developing and applying economic and mathematical models for defined business processes at enterprises of the fuel and energy complex. As a tool for the systemic involvement of interrelated elements in a single process, business process modeling helps to make scientifically sound and cost-effective decisions on the business processes’ rational organization in the industry under study.

The competitive specifics of the program are determined by the research orientation, practice-oriented disciplines that meaningfully reflect the integration of the most popular areas of development of the fuel and energy complex in the economy and business, the uniqueness of the literature offered for study, developed by leading Russian scientists together with representatives of business and government working in the field of the fuel and energy complex.

  • Head of advanced training programs “Project Management in the Energy Dector" together with PM Expert, “Procurement Activities in Electric Power Industry Organizations" together with Mosenergosbyt JSC. 
  • She was an Expert of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on entrepreneurship.
  • Authored more than 150 scientific publications, including monographs, articles in journals included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission, in peer-reviewed publications included in international databases.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to

  • Develop and implement business processes in Russian and international fuel and energy sector organizations and support them in the digital economy;
  • Develop economic and mathematical models for defined business processes in fuel and energy sector organizations based on modern economic and financial technologies;
  • Evaluate trends in the modern financial technology development that allows optimizing the business processes of fuel and energy sector organizations based on the use of information and technical means;
  • Develop management solutions and proposals to improve the business process management efficiency of fuel and energy sector organizations based on special modeling software products;
  • Create economic and mathematical models of business processes and implement them in the operational activities of fuel and energy sector organizations to increase efficiency;
  • Solve common tasks of business activity based on the concept of business process management, which includes the contour of ensuring the economic security of fuel and energy sector organizations.
