Program description

The master's degree program “Cognitive Society Design" trains specialists who know the methodology and methods of society design in semantic and organizational aspects. Cognitive design makes it possible to effectively develop any social communities from commercial associations and their structural parts to state and public organizations. It is becoming in demand in modern conditions in connection with the processes of changing strategies for the regions and territories' development, as well as socio-cultural adaptation to them. The business processes of corporations and commercial structures are also undergoing changes in internal and external communications.

Our program has an interdisciplinary nature and is implemented in the students' project activities. During the training, graduates are expected to carry out 3 projects within the following educational tracks:

Track No. 1 Design of corporate space and communications is associated with project activities on cognitive design of macro- and micro-structures of modern business space and covers:

  • research of business processes' ethics and corporate culture values;
  • designing effective management of the strategic development system of the corporation and its structural parts;
  • the anti-crisis communications practice.

Project preparation is carried out in cooperation with the corporate educational structures of the program partners.

Track No. 2 Design of the socio-cultural environment of the smart city introduces students to socio-cultural environment cognitive design of the region, territory, city and settlement. Project activity in this area is associated with the use of:

  • modern social tools for the transformation of socio-cultural space in the concept of a smart city;
  • territorial branding technologies for the development of the region investment attractiveness;
  • social expertise of integrated development projects of the Russian Federation subjects.

The preparation of projects is carried out in cooperation with public structures, state bodies and municipalities of the Russian Federation subjects.

Track No. 3 Cognitive design of cross-cultural adaptation allows students to analyze the processes of socio-cultural adaptation and prepare project work on adaptation process design in international business projects, considering national, ethnic and confessional characteristics. Project activity is based on the study of the following aspects of adaptation processes by students:

  • cognitive technologies of public relations management;
  • cognitive methods of cross-cultural communication;
  • intercultural adaptation and pragmacultural modeling.

The preparation of projects in this track is innovative and is aimed at solving specific adaptation problems in cooperation with regional authorities and the business community.

The students' interest of in the project implementation on one of the tracks prepares them for the diploma project implementation under the guidance of teachers from one of the Departments involved in the program implementation, and in close cooperation with the program partner from among employers who can act as diploma project customers.
