Program description

The program is aimed at studying the main world standards ̶ International Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards. The only program that allows you to gain in-depth professional knowledge of all the current IFRS systems. The program is accredited by the ACCA international professional organization.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to

  • Master the methodology of financial statements’ transformation of companies compiled according to Russian standards into the IFRS format.
  • Know the main indicators characterizing the socio-economic responsibility of the business, and the ability to calculate them.
  • Possess knowledge in existing corporate governance models in the world and the ability to substantiate proposals for improving Russian legislation in this area.
  • Conduct an external audit of the economic entities’ financial statements of any ownership form.
  • Possess knowledge and skills of conducting internal control/audit of economic entities’ activities of various industries.
  • Have a full set of knowledge in modern accounting and auditing and the ability to provide consulting services in these areas to interested parties.

Key disciplines of the concentration

International Financial Reporting Standards (advanced course) (partially in English)

Study of international financial reporting standards to form knowledge and skills of financial statements’ interpretation and analysis for management decision-making.

Consolidation and Transformation of Financial Statements (partially in English)

The academic discipline outlines the relevant methods of financial statements’ consolidation and transformation companies.

International Auditing Standards (partially in English)

The discipline contains general review of international auditing standards included in the system, shows the practical aspect of the application of standards.

International Financial Reporting Standards for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

The discipline contains educational material covering all sections of the current IFRS for SMEs. This standard differs significantly from the latter variant.
