Program description

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Mass Communications is one of the most authoritative platforms for training political scientists in Russia. In 2019, it was included in the top ten “Social Science" faculties of Russia according to the journal “Expert". The “trademark" of the Faculty is the educational program “Political Science", which has been implemented since 2010. Applicants consistently choose our program because it combines the best traditions of classical university education with modern interactive forms of education. It allows students to participate in applied scientific research and to solve cases commissioned by employers. In the process of implementing the program, the Faculty strives to take into account the main educational trends and current demands in the labor market. The basic concentration related to the specifics of the University is “Political Science of Economic Processes". This program has been successfully implemented since 2010 and has no direct analogues in the educational market of the Russian Federation.

Taking into account the accumulated experience, the presence of a large number of experienced faculty and the socio-political conjuncture, new concentrations “World Politics" and “Political Technologies" were launched in 2021.

The Faculty has built a multi-stage education system: undergraduate graduates have the opportunity to continue their studies doing the master's degree in “Political and Economic Foundations of the Sustainability of Modern States" and “PR and GR Technologies in Politics and Business", and then the postgraduate program “Political Institutions, Processes and Technologies".
