Program description

The bachelor’s degree program “Law” is aimed at training highly qualified lawyers for all sectors of the economy with deep fundamental knowledge and applied skills, able to work in a team, show their leadership qualities, manage projects, and make professional decisions. A distinctive feature of the program is a combination of traditional legal disciplines and unique courses aimed at studying the legal regulation of economic relations. During the course of training, students participate in research, project, analytical and expert activities. Potential employers – partners of the Faculty of Law – are actively involved in the educational process.

The concentration is aimed at training specialists for all sectors of the economy. The acquired knowledge helps graduates solve legal problems of the economy and entrepreneurship, stand up for the freedom of contracts, and strictly observe the norms of professional ethics in their daily work.

The concentration was developed to meet the growing demand coming from export-oriented and multinational companies, government agencies and international, interstate structures, where our graduates provide legal support of foreign economic relations.

Ruchkina Gulnara Flyurovna

  • Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation, Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation.
  • Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor of the Department of Legal Regulation of Economic Activity.
  • Since 2008, she has been an expert in assessing the quality of education. Prof. Ruchkina is a member of the Expert Council of the Moscow City Duma Commission on Legislation; the Expert Council under the Federal Tax Service of Russia on improving the practice of applying insolvency (bankruptcy); the Association of Lawyers of Russia; the Scientific Advisory Council at the Arbitration Court of the Moscow region. 
  • Prof. Ruchkina is a member of the Editorial Boards of the following journals: “Business Law", “Economics. Taxes. Law", “Financial Law", “Bulletin of the Financial University", “Modern Lawyer", “Taxes", “Property Relations in the Russian Federation", “Finance: Theory and Practice", and the Editor-in-Chief and Chairman of the Editorial Board of the journal “Banking Law".

  • Doctor of Law, PhD in Philosophy.
  • Professor of the Department of International and Public Law.
  • Authored more than 200 educational and scientific works on the problems of Russian and foreign legislation in the field of socio-economic development, including “Legal Regulation of Economic Activity" (2017); “Law-making"; (2018); “Private international law", etc.
  • Participates in law-making and expert activities.
  • Has acknowledgements from the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation and the Federal Treasury of the Russian Federation.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to

  • Have the skills to prepare and execute regulatory legal, organizational, administrative, reference, and information documents using techniques and means of legal technology.
  • Establish and investigate legal facts, choose the appropriate rule of law, make decisions based on it, and draw up a law enforcement act.
  • Obtain the skills of claim-related work, represent the interests of individuals and legal entities in court, including arbitration, as well as in state and public organizations when considering legal issues, etc.
  • Obtain the skills of searching and reviewing relevant legal information, legal writing for testing and argumentation of the results of scientific research in the field of legal support of economic activity.
  • Protect the rights and freedoms of man and citizen, protect all forms of property; prevent and suppress offenses.
  • Carry out expert consulting activities.

Civil Law

Within the framework of the key legal discipline “Civil Law”, students study the legal regulation of property and personal non-property relations arising between organizations and citizens related to the acquisition of rights to things, the conclusion and execution of transactions, including contracts, the performance of contractual and non-contractual obligations, etc.

International Law

The concept, functions, system of international law; sources and principles of international law; the relationship of international and domestic law; subjects of international law, their legal personality.

Legal Regulation of Insolvency (Bankruptcy)

Students obtain knowledge about the mechanism of legal regulation of relations arising in connection with the insolvency (bankruptcy) of the debtor, the legal status of participants in these relations, and protection of the rights and legitimate interests of debtors.

Graduates of the bachelor’s degree of the Faculty of Law of the Financial University are in demand in the labor market, as they possess all the necessary professional skills required by Russian and foreign organizations.
