The Department of Life Safety of the Faculty of Risk Analysis and Economic Security, named after Professor V.K. Senchagov, was established on 01.09.2017 in accordance with the Order No. 1365/o dated June 29, 2017 “On Changes in the Structure and Staffing of the FinU”.
At present the Department of Life Safety employs 10 highly qualified teachers and 1 lecturer. Among them, 2 are Doctors of Technology and 7 are PhDs.
The faculty of the Department provides high quality lectures, effective seminars, and practical courses in Life Safety at all faculties of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education.
Teachers of the Department carry out work on patriotic, spiritual, and moral education of the youth of the FinU, promote a healthy lifestyle.
In the context of the modern society development, which is characterized, among other things, by the emergence of new threats and challenges, higher education has an urgent goal: the formation of a comprehensively developed competitive personality, a specialist with a high level of professional training, competence, including the ability to assess the risks and threats from natural, man-made and bio-social emergencies, to ensure their personal safety, to develop proposals for the creation of a safe standard of living for working teams in the workplace and to put them into practice.
