About the department

The Department of State and Municipal Management was created by the decision of the Academic Council of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation of November 22, 2012, on the basis of the Department of State, Municipal and Corporate Management.

The mission of the Department of State and Municipal Management is aimed at training highly professional state and municipal employees, forming a reserve of managerial personnel with deep professional knowledge, high organizational and management skills, communicative qualities, and social competence aimed at achieving success, ability to make decisions quickly and effectively.

The mission is based on the principles of high professionalism, patriotism, national solidarity and continuous education.

The Department of State and Municipal Management is designed to generate and distribute new knowledge in the field of state and municipal management at various levels, not only in the Russian Federation, but also at the international level (primarily – among the CIS countries), develop and implement advanced management technologies, including territorial ones, which ultimately contributes to the growth and competitiveness of the Russian economy.
