The Department of Insurance and Social Economics offers bachelor’s, master’s, and postgraduate programs, and participates in research and expert-analytical activities of the Financial University. The faculty are members of the Insurance Expert Councils of the Bank of Russia, the Ministry of Finance of Russia, FAS, AHML, other ministries and departments, self-regulatory insurance organizations, mortgage companies, and editorials of leading scientific journals. Employees of the Department are owners and managers of insurance organizations, members of the collective management bodies of self-regulatory insurance organizations of insurance and mortgage companies.
The mission of the Department of Insurance and Social Economics is to train highly qualified specialists for the Russian and world insurance market, enterprises and social organizations, applying innovative methods and using continuity of the established scientific school as well as to work as a research and expert institute for development.
The Department’s education system aims to prepare highly professional specialists by providing basic theoretical training and the ability to adapt to market conditions.
The Department offers bachelor’s programs in Economics, Insurance, Business and Finance of the Social Sphere (2018); master’s programs in Finance and Credit, Insurance Business, and postgraduate programs in Finance, Money Circulation and Credit. You can study full-time or part-time.
The Department actively participates in the educational process at institutes of distance and open education, intensive programs, and implements additional professional programs for specialists of the Bank of Russia, ministries and departments, banks and insurance companies, and teachers.
The Department conducts research approved by the state mission, government contracts and contracts with third-party organizations. The main commissioners are: the Apparatus of the Government of the Russian Federation, federal executive authorities, the Bank of Russia, Rosselkhozbank, the All-Russian Union of Insurers, the Association of Professional Insurance Brokers, the Agency for Mortgage Housing Credit.
The Department organizes meetings and seminars for the expert community together with the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), the All-Russian Union of Insurers, the National Insurance Guild, SRO Union of Mortgage Companies, journals Insurance Business, Corporate Economy, and Modern Insurance Technologies.
Faculty of the Department of Insurance and Social Economics participate in the preparation of expert and analytical materials for the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation, the Bank of Russia, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, Federal Antimonopoly Service, and other public authorities.
