About the department

The Department of Humanities implements the bachelor’s degree program “Ethics of Business” and disciplines of the general humanitarian cycle: “History”, “Philosophy”, “Logic. Theory of Argumentation”. The mission of the Department of Humanities is to contribute to the formation of humanitarian values, their translation and humanization of the educational space.

Our goal is to form the general cultural and professional competencies of students of the Financial University by teaching humanities using innovative pedagogical approaches and involving students and teachers in various scientific activities.

The strategic objectives of the Department of Humanities are:

• To develop a humanities education strategy for all levels of higher education;
• To create a unified concept of semantic content and methods of teaching historical and philosophical disciplines;
• To form a civic position, patriotism and stable ideological orientations of the individual;
• To ensure the continuous process of accumulation and expansion of humanitarian knowledge of students of the Financial University;
• To create competitive bachelor’s and master’s degree programs for Russian and foreign applicants;
• To conduct research work.
