The Department of Financial and Investment Management is based on the Faculty “Higher School of Management” of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and builds its educational programs upon applied knowledge.
The priority of the Department of Financial and Investment Management is to form a theoretical basis with the subsequent strategic practical implementation of the acquired competencies in a real business environment. The disciplines offered include specific competence requirements by international qualification programs: ACCA, CIMA, CFA, and CMA.
The educational programs of the Department of Financial and Investment are relevant and comprehensive and are designed taking into account transnational trends in education, integrating theory and practice.
The Department provides the opportunity for students to test out their acquired competencies as well as prepares students for job interviews and tests in well-known international and Russian companies.
The Department offers bachelor’s programs in Economics, Insurance, Business and Finance of the Social Sphere (2018); master’s programs in Finance and Credit, Insurance Business, and postgraduate programs in Finance, Money Circulation and Credit. You can study full-time or part-time.
The Department actively participates in the educational process at institutes of distance and open education, intensive programs, and implements additional professional programs for specialists of the Bank of Russia, ministries and departments, banks and insurance companies, and teachers.
The Department conducts research approved by the state mission, government contracts and contracts with third-party organizations. The main commissioners are: the Apparatus of the Government of the Russian Federation, federal executive authorities, the Bank of Russia, Rosselkhozbank, the All-Russian Union of Insurers, the Association of Professional Insurance Brokers, the Agency for Mortgage Housing Credit.
The Department organizes meetings and seminars for the expert community together with the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), the All-Russian Union of Insurers, the National Insurance Guild, SRO Union of Mortgage Companies, journals Insurance Business, Corporate Economy, and Modern Insurance Technologies.
Faculty of the Department of Insurance and Social Economics participate in the preparation of expert and analytical materials for the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation, the Bank of Russia, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, Federal Antimonopoly Service, and other public authorities.
