On January 27, 2021, Financial University met with representatives from the Northern Business School (Hamburg, Germany) to establish cooperation and develop joint educational programs.

The meeting was opened with a welcome address by a representative from the Department of Economic Security and Risk Management Igoris Krzhechkovskis, who had initiated the partnership.

On behalf of the Financial University, Head of the Department for International Cooperation Lilia Prikhodko welcomed the participants. During her welcoming speech, Ms Prikhodko briefly outlined the history of the Financial University emphasising its current status as a leading national research centre. Moreover, she stressed the importance of developing international cooperation and expanding the circle of foreign partners.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Dean for International Cooperation of the Faculty of Economics and Business Khvicha Kharchilava who noted the Faculty’s interest in building a long-term relationship with the Northern Business School.

On behalf of the Northern Business School, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work Prof. Karl Heinz Daube and Head of the International Office Dr Rüdiger von Dehn dwelled on the history of the NBSl as well as possible areas of cooperation.

During the negotiations, both parties expressed great interest in developing joint educational programs and launching academic exchange. The possibility of developing joint research projects and participating in the "Visiting Professor" program was also discussed at the meeting.
