The International Cooperation Office of the Financial University held an online briefing dedicated to the issues faced by the FinU foreign students on December 23, 2020.
The meeting was opened with a welcoming speech by Head of the International Students and Faculty Department Anatoly Kislyakov, who dwelled on the issues of dismissals and academic leaves.
The briefing covered the educational problems and prospects of foreign citizens in Russia. Deputy Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Andrey Rementsov made a presentation on these issues.
Demand for higher education has increased as never before, and new technologies are emerging to provide all kinds of educational services. Graduates understand that in the future their salary will depend on the quality and level of acquired skills and knowledge
As part of the meeting, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Office Alexey Sereda reviewed the successful experience of organising and hosting online schools at the Financial University.
"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, means of delivering education to learners have changed dramatically, and there is a growing demand for online Russian Language and Culture programs. Development of short-term programs of virtual academic mobility is a great opportunity for those who want but cannot get a quality education", comments Alexey Sereda.
The participants also discussed additional measures to be taken to support foreign students and ensure effective interaction with them.
