Over 900 teams totalling more than 26 thousand people from 82 regions of Russian participated in the Walking Competition "Homo Ambulans" (walking — all steps taken per day). The organiser of the competition is Health League of the Nation, an all-Russian public organisation. The competition was organised with the support of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation. The competition was held within the framework of the federal project "Sport — the norm of life".

The FinU team took 490,667 steps and were ranked first among 130 universities.

To participate in the competition, it was necessary to assemble a team of 20-50 people and apply to the Health League of the Nation. After that, the participants installed the mobile application "Homo Ambulans", which tracked walk distance and calories burned as well as formed ratings of the teams.

The FinU team won the All-Russian Walking Competition “Homo Ambulans”.

According to the conditions of the championship, each participant had to take as many steps as possible during the competition and thus, contribute to the overall result. No more than 25,000 steps per day were counted. More steps were considered by the organisers as a professional sporting result and were not taken into account.

Daily totals were calculated by the average score of the team: the total number of team steps was divided by the number of team members. The winner was determined according to the total of daily ratings for the entire period of the competition.
