World War II ended 75 years ago. The Second World War became the largest armed conflict in the history of humanity. 62 countries out of total 73 which then existed participated in it. It constituted approximately 80 percent of the world’s population. The conflict scattered around Europe, Asia, and Africa. All oceans became battlefields. It is the only military conflict when nuclear weapons were applied.
