Chairman of the Council of Veterans, adviser to the Rector, retired Major General, Professor Semyon Yermakov took part in the solemn wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Kremlin Wall.
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin as well as veterans of World War II, students of the Moscow Suvorov Military School and the Moscow Cadet Corps took part in the ceremony dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.
The honour guard regiment marched in front of the memorial.
