Giulietto Chiesa dies aged 79 in Rome

Giulietto Chiesa, a prominent Italian journalist and public figure who repeatedly participated in forums and conferences at the Financial University, has died in Rome. September 4th, he would have turned 80 years old.⁠

Giulietto Chiesa was well known in Russia. He has worked in Moscow as a correspondent for the Italian newspapers l'Unita and La Stampa for more than 20 years. In recent years, Chiesa has been actively involved in developing the online television project Pandora TV. He was blogging and collaborating with several magazines, including Sputnik Italia. 

He has written several books, many of which are dedicated to the modern history of Russia and the late Soviet Union.

Tonight, a great friend of ours, Giulietto Chiesa , an Italian journalist, publicist, political and public figure, has passed away. He was 79 years old. For many years he worked in Russia, he loved and protected it. Giulietto Chiesa visited the Financial University several times, where he delivered speeches at conferences. He visited our International Forum in November 2019, and, as always, his speech was brilliant. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him
