On September 24, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko hosted a meeting of the organizing committee to prepare and host the final stage of the Olympiad. The meeting was attended by Stanislav Prokofiev, the FinU Rector.
The meeting approved the schedule for the final phase of the IV Olympiad, which will take place from September 30 to October 4 at the Sirius Federal Territory. The jury and appeals commission were also chosen.
"Despite the current international situation, we have managed to not only maintain, but also expand the level of organization and hosting of the Olympiad. This year, more than 550 children from 36 countries will attend Sirius, while last year there were only 19 countries participating. I believe it is significant that the participants of the Olympiad will not only compete, but also gain opportunities for admission to leading universities in their country and future employment prospects," said Dmitry Chernyshenko.
The Deputy Prime Minister also reminded us that on September 17th, a founding conference took place at the FinU, marking the start of the International Movement for Financial Security.
FinU is one of the key organizers of the Olympiad on financial security. "This year, with the support of Rosfinmonitoring, a Center for the Formation of the Spiritual and Moral Environment of the Olympiad and the Financial Security Movement has been established at the FinU, the purpose of which is to promote the cultural and moral heritage of countries and traditional civilizational values among participants in the International Financial Security Movement," said Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the FinU, in his speech at the meeting of the organizing committee.
In 2023, 7 FinU students became the winners and prize-winners of the intellectual competition. They had a unique opportunity to take part in the plenary session "Conversation on Equal Terms", during which Russian President Vladimir Putin personally communicated with the finalists.
The International Olympiad on Financial Security has been held since 2021 on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
