On September 16, 2024, a delegation from the University  of Tehran (Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran), headed by the Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Adviser to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Elham Amin Zadeh, paid an official visit to the Financial University. 

The delegation included a lecturer of the Department of Russian Language and Literature, the Deputy Director for Work with Staff and Foreign Students, the Chief Coordinator for Interaction with Russian Universities, Ms. Sheikhi Jolandan Nahid, as well as the Scientific Counsellor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Russian Federation, Mr. Hadi Gudarzi, and an employee of the Scientific Representation of the Embassy, Mr. Kirill Brezgunov.

During the visit, a meeting was held with Ekaterina Kameneva, Vice Rector for Educational and Methodological Work of the FinU, Alexander Shatilov, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Mass Communication, and Anna Suchilina, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs.

Ekaterina Kameneva noted the importance of further extensive cooperation, "We are very pleased to expand our partnership based on a solid foundation of real action and mutual trust. These are not just words - they reflect our common goal and desire to achieve meaningful results".

Ms. Elham Amin Zadeh added that the cooperation goes beyond business partnership and represents a true exchange of cultural and scientific values. She expressed her admiration for Russia's rich history and unique culture, as well as its outstanding scientific achievements. In her opinion, joint efforts can inspire a new generation to achieve achievements that will strengthen the ties between the two countries and cultures.

The key moment of the meeting was the signing of an agreement on further development of academic cooperation. The parties discussed the prospects for the implementation of academic exchange programs for faculty, as well as issues of developing a summer school program for Iranian and Russian students. The main vectors of further cooperation will be joint scientific research, participation in conferences and seminars, as well as the creation of a network educational program on world politics at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Mass Communication.
