On September 2, 2024 a solemn ceremony of raising the national flag of the Russian Federation took place on all campuses of the FinU. Establishing the tradition of raising the national flag is not only a symbolic act, but also an important element of civic education and formation of national identity.
Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the FinU, opened the ceremony at the Faculty of Finance and personally handed over the flag to its bearer, Denis Klimov, Chairman of the Faculty's Student Council.
"Today we are not only celebrating the beginning of a new academic year - we are creating a wonderful tradition that will fill our hearts with pride and unity. At this moment the ceremony is taking place simultaneously in all our branches - from St. Petersburg to Blagoveshchensk. By raising the national flag of the Russian Federation, we not only pay tribute to our great past, but also strengthen our ties with the present and the future. The national flag is a symbol of our country, embodying the victories and achievements, dreams and hopes of millions of people who make up the multinational family of our homeland. May this day be the beginning of a new path full of inspiration and achievements," said the Rector of the FinU in his welcoming speech.
The tradition established on this day will become another important symbol of national unity and a daily reminder of Russia's spiritual values. The flag-raising ceremony will be held on the first day of every school week.
