Dear faculty, staff and students of the FinU! Dear colleagues!
I congratulate you on the Knowledge Day and the beginning of the new academic year! The first of September is a happy and exciting day not only for students, but also for faculty. It is another important step forward on the path to knowledge and professional growth, a starting point for the launch of major projects and the birth of breakthrough ideas.
Special greetings and warmest congratulations on this festive autumn day go, of course, to our first-year students. This year, more than 17,000 talented and hardworking students who have successfully passed their exams and demonstrated a high level of education will become part of our large and friendly university family. Dear freshmen, bear with honor the title of FinU student! Be active and purposeful, take part in student government and volunteer work, be more daring in your scientific work and take the first steps in entrepreneurship. I am convinced that you will never regret your decision to enroll at our University!
Our students and faculty are offered a wide range of opportunities for professional development and personal growth. FinU is open to innovation, it is proactive and it is rightly a university that does not follow the usual trends, but sets them. We are now beginning to implement a unique educational model with the possibility of obtaining a double degree. I would like to note that the expansion of cooperation with leading universities - leaders in their field - will allow us to train multi-profile specialists of a fundamentally new type, top-class professionals who will be able to be as successful as possible both in business and in the field of public administration.
In the coming academic year, the academic community has set ambitious tasks to ensure the country's technological sovereignty, sectoral development and the creation of new opportunities for socio-economic growth. Of course, FinU, as one of the leading federal research centers, should actively participate in conducting relevant scientific research of both fundamental and practical importance for achieving the country's national development goals.
I would like to emphasize that Russia's prosperity depends to a large extent on the knowledge and skills that students acquire, on the professional and civic qualities with which young professionals enter the workplace. This means that the future of our country is in our hands.
May the new academic year be interesting, bright, successful and fruitful! Health, happiness and well-being to you and your loved ones!
