On July 24, 2024 FinU completed the educational programs of the Summer School of Russian language, history and culture for students from Greece and "Russia under the Transformation of the World Order" for students of Jilin University. "
There are no ex-students. The doors of the FinU remain open to all alumni, even for the ones of short-term programs," said Lilia Prikhodko, Head of the International Cooperation Department, addressing the alumni of the programs. She also noted that one of the main goals of the summer programs is the opportunity for development,
"I believe that summer schools help young people from different countries to understand each other better and move towards positive development."
For two weeks, students from Greece studied the Russian language, history and culture, and students from China got acquainted with the centuries-old history of Russia, the peculiarities of the Russian economic and political system, and investment trends in the international market. During this time, the guests not only successfully attended lectures of leading FinU professors, but also got engaged in the culture of the country, visited the iconic sights of Moscow and some historical sites of Russia.
The participants of both programs became friends. Natalia Saparova, President of the All-Slavic Union of Greece, thanked the FinU for the opportunity to get to know not only the Russian but also the Chinese mentality and invited the students of Jilin University to visit Greece.
The alumni of the Summer School programs were also thanked by their teachers, noting the hard work, diligence and activity of the guests. At the meeting, great attention was paid to the feedback of the participants themselves: many noted the friendly attitude, warm atmosphere, incredible culture and delicious food. Everyone thanked the teachers and the organizers of the meeting.
"I fell in love with Russia because of its friendly attitude. Let's keep in touch no matter how far away we are," said Xie Yucong, a student from Jilin University.
"This is my first summer school experience. I am very happy to have the opportunity to visit Moscow and participate in this program. Thanks to the organizers and our teachers," said Hatzidakis Petros, a student from Greece.
The ceremony ended with the presentation of certificates of successful completion of the programs, a group photo and a festive lunch.
We wish our guests every success and look forward to seeing them again at the FinU!
