On July 10, the program of the Summer School of Russian Language, History and Culture was opened at the FinU as part of the Summer University project. 15 students will be trained, including schoolchildren, students and faculty of university in Greece.
Welcoming the participants, Lilia Prikhodko, Head of the International Cooperation Department, noted the proximity of the Russian and Greek cultures, "...we have many historical, cultural, Orthodox and educational ties," and also expressed hope for the continuation of the trend of rapprochement between the states.
Lilia Prikhodko also highlighted the contribution of Natalia Saparova, President of the All-Slavic Union of Greece, to the development of academic relations between the FinU and the leading scientific centers of Greece. Natalia Saparova, for her part, noted the professionalism and cohesion of the University staff and called the FinU the best financial and economic university in Russia.
The students also got acquainted with their future faculty members – Anatoly Kislyakov, Nina Kozlovtseva and Ekaterina Ovsy. They noted the key topics that the project participants will have to master and wished them success in their studies. The program of the first day of the Summer School continued with workshops and quizzes on the history and culture of Russia, which aroused great interest among all the guests.
The educational program lasts for two weeks and includes lectures on Russian language, history and culture of Russia. In addition to the lectures, the participants of the Summer School will have an exciting cultural program, they will get to know not only the iconic sights of the capital - the Kremlin and the Arsenal, but also make trips to the tourist centers of the Golden Ring of Russia - the cities of Alexandrov and Sergiev Posad.
