On July 1, 2024, FinU completed the educational program of the Summer School of Russian Language, History and Culture for students from Slovakia, where they received certificates of completion of their studies.

Anatoly Kislyakov, Deputy Scientific Director and Director of the FinU Museum thanked the participants of the program. He wished them not to lose their thirst for knowledge and expressed his deep confidence that future students of the FinU would be among them.

Alexey Sereda, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Department, also greeted the audience from Slovakia. In his speech he congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the program and noted the importance of maintaining strong friendly international relations in science and education, which are the basis for fruitful cooperation between our countries.  

Adriana Lauffova, a teacher of Russian language at the Sports Gymnasium in Kosice, thanked the organizers and teachers of the Summer School for the high quality of the program.

Marina Melnichuk, Head of the Department of English Language and Professional Communication, Natalia Zhdanova, Director of the Center for Innovative Educational and Language Strategies of the Department of English Language and Professional Communication, Professor Yakov Plais, Evelina Shishkova, Program Coordinator of the Summer Schools of International Cooperation Office, participated in the handing over of the certificates.

For two weeks the participants of the Summer School studied the Russian language, history and culture. During this time the students not only successfully attended lectures of leading teachers of our University, but also learnt more about Russian culture and traditions, visited the iconic sights of Moscow and some historical sites of Russia.

Ekaterina Kameneva, Vice Rector for Educational and Methodological Work, always notes the importance of organizing summer school programs for foreign students at the FinU, "This is another opportunity to demonstrate in practice the openness of our society despite difficult times and the high level of Russian education. The audience gets acquainted with our country, its culture and historical heritage. This allows them to form an independent image of Russia and its people, and for some students it becomes a decisive moment in choosing the FinU to continue their education".
