On June 7, 2024, a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, consisting of the President of Tarbiat Modares University Campus, Dr. Ali Bakouei, and a representative of Andysheh Yaran Javan Institute, Mr. Ahmad Reza Sadegh Elahi, paid an official visit to the FinU.
During the working visit negotiations on bilateral cooperation were held in the presence of Ekaterina Kameneva, Vice Rector for Educational and Methodological Work, Marina Pukhova, Dean of the Pre-University Faculty, and Lilia Prikhodko, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the FinU.
Ekaterina Kameneva stressed that the visit of the Iranian delegation is of strategic importance for strengthening cooperation between Russia and Iran in science and education. She also noted that the main goal is to develop talented specialists by combining the efforts of both countries to achieve high results in research activities.
As part of the development of partnerships between the FinU, Tarbiat Modares University and Andysheh Yaran Javan Institute, the parties agreed to consider the possibility of jointly opening a Pre-University faculty, whose activities will be aimed at comprehensive preparation of applicants to specialized departments of universities. It is also planned to organize academic exchange of students, conduct summer schools, strengthen expert communication and joint scientific research.
During the trip the delegation also visited the Museum of the FinU, where they got acquainted with the expositions devoted to the history of the University and the financial system of Russia. The guests were particularly interested in the unique collection of "war money" donated to the museum by Stanislav Prokofiev, the Rector of the FinU.
