A delegation from Dalian NEUSOFT University of Information Technology, China's leading university in the field of information technology, visited the FinU. During the visit, the parties discussed the possibilities and prospects for expanding academic and scientific cooperation.
Ekaterina Kameneva, Vice-Rector of the Financial University for Educational and Methodological Work, welcomed the guests, telling about the main activities of the University, work with foreign students and ongoing international projects.
Grigory Ostapenko, FinU Vice-Rector for Digitalization, told the delegation representatives about the University's key projects in data analysis and AI.
In turn, delegation representatives of the Dalian NEUSOFT University of Information Technology – Mr. Feng Shixuan and Ms. Yilin Yin – noted the importance of cooperation with the FinU, the flagship of Russian education, and outlined a wide range of areas of interaction.
The parties paid special attention to the issues of training specialists in new technologies. Addressing the guests, Vadim Feklin, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Big Data Analysis, presented the results of joint work in launching bachelor's and master's degree educational programs.
Lilia Prikhodko, Head of the International Cooperation Department at the FinU, stressed that the University is actively developing partnerships with leading universities in China and noted the growing interest of Chinese youth not only in specialized educational programs, but also in joint initiatives in culture. Students from China study the history and culture of Russia by participating in the educational project of the FinU "Summer Schools".
The program of the visit to the FinU was continued by a meeting with students and faculty members of the Faculty of Information Technology and Big Data Analysis, where a presentation of joint educational programs of universities took place. At the meeting, the students learned about the peculiarities of teaching students under the double degree program and received answers to their questions, including those related to the educational process and living at the Dalian NEUSOFT University of Information Technology.
