On May 21, 2024, the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation presented its own innovative solutions and developments for education and business at the main business event in the digital economy in Russia – the conference "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia". Traditionally, the conference is a platform for dialogue between business and government representatives on the digital transformation of society and various sectors of the economy.

Chairman of the Government of Russia Mikhail Mishustin took part in the plenary session of the conference dedicated to the country’s technological independence and visited the exhibition of the latest developments of Russian companies.

"At the FinU stand, a presentation of key engineering projects developed by university experts took place – a prototype of an automated revenue management system for Aeroflot, a mobile educational product based on a domestic tablet computer and educational projects of the CyberHub center using virtual reality technologies. FinU is one of the first to introduce modern interactive products into the educational process," said Grigory Ostapenko, Vice-Rector for Digitalization of the FinU.

Software for forecasting demand, optimizing flight resources and automating the work of Aeroflot analysts is currently under development. Representatives of the FinU mathematical school are developing several elements of an automated system – forecasting and optimization modules.

"Dynamic forecasting allows you to compare current sales and historical data, which helps to improve the forecast.  In the development, we use classical mathematical approaches and the latest technologies in AI, which help smooth transitions from one stage to another," commented Sergey Zadadaev, Head of the Department of Mathematics at the FinU.

The visitors of the exhibition also tested the advanced technical solutions of the FinU in higher education, among them the mobile educational ecosystem of the University and the VR simulators of the CyberHub Center of the FinU, which allow students to dive deeper into the material, not only see the content, but also interact with it.

FinU was represented at the exhibition by Grigory Ostapenko, Vice-Rector for Digitalization of the FinU, Roman Morozov, Deputy Vice-Rector for Digitalization, Evgeny Parshin, Advisor to the Rector for Information Security, Sergey Zadadaev, Head of the Mathematics Department of the Faculty of Information Technology and Big Data Analysis, Sergey Korchagin, Director of the Institute of Digital Technologies of the FinU, Grigory Ivanov, Director of the CyberHub Center and Director of the Competence Center "Digital Economy" Nadezhda Surova.
