On April 18, 2024 the Career Marathon "Future Begins Today" took place at the FinU. The event was organized by the Department of Employment and Career Development of the Directorate for Employment, Career Development and Work with Alumni. Traditionally, the Career Marathon of the FinU acts as an open platform that brings together representatives of the largest employers, students and alumni of the University in one career space.

50 employers were represented at the career fair and the poster session: government agencies, banks, companies from various fields of activity. The representatives of the employers informed the participants of the event about the possibilities of internships, work placements and prospects of further employment.

Students and alumni communicated directly with HR specialists, got advice from employers, submitted their CVs, learned about labor market trends and work specifics in various fields, as well as participated in profile quizzes, contests and sweepstakes to win branded products from companies.

The event's online platform featured virtual employer stands with descriptions of career opportunities, where participants could move from one virtual employer stand to another, learn about job openings and internships, and send their resumes to employers participating in the event.

Throughout the day, experts shared career opportunities and life hacks for building a successful career in live masterclasses and open dialogues.

As part of the Career Marathon, the Department of Employment and Career Development organized a career quest for students with the participation of employers. In order to successfully complete the quest, it was necessary to visit the stands of employers and answer questions from experts.

The tasks were dedicated to the specifics of the companies, their history or the field in which they work. The winners of the interactive event received valuable prizes and memorable gifts from partner employers.

As part of the Marathon, the Department of Employment and Career Development also held consultations with students and alumni. Students learned about career planning and how to identify their career preferences.

More than 5,000 students and alumni of the FinU, including branches and colleges, and other leading universities participated in the Career Marathon in full-time and online formats. All participants noted the high level of organization of the event, a large number of top employers and a wide range of opportunities for self-realization and building a successful career.
