On September 26, 2023, Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, and Denis Pushilin, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, held a working meeting during which they discussed promising areas of cooperation in education and science. Senator of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Alexander Voloshin also took part in the meeting.

Opening the meeting, Stanislav Prokofiev congratulated Denis Pushilin on his election to the post of Head of the Republic and told about the main educational and social projects of the FinU for school children, students and faculty of new regions of Russia. He particularly stressed the readiness to expand cooperation in this area and provide comprehensive support to the universities of the DPR.

“FinU is one of the five largest universities in Russia and is the largest university in the country that trains specialists in economics and management,” said Stanislav Prokofiev.

In turn, Denis Pushilin stressed the importance of forming and strengthening educational and scientific ties, as well as cooperation in key areas of national economic development.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of implementing network educational projects and professional development programs, as well as the organization of academic and student exchange. The meeting participants expressed confidence that the future cooperation in education will contribute to the achievement of key goals of socio-economic development.

During the visit, Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the FinU, and Mikhail Eskindarov, FinU President, conducted a tour of the educational organization for the guests, and also introduced them to the unique exposition of the FinU Museum dedicated to the history of the Russian financial system development.
