Students of the Faculty of Taxes, Audit and Business Analysis in a team took 1st place in the international competition on taxation “TaxInTashkent 2023” in English.

The Fiscal Institute under the Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan in partnership with the Tax Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Federal Tax Service of Russia and the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation held a contest on international taxation “TaxInTashkent 2023” among student teams of Uzbekistan and CIS countries within the Tashkent International Tax Week from May 17 to 20, 2023.

The purpose of the international contest on taxation is to strengthen international cooperation, increase students’ knowledge in international taxation and international law, gain new knowledge and skills of professional communication, as well as modern tax culture development.

The teams of Tashkent State University of Law, Tajik State Finance and Economics University, Siberian Federal University, Fiscal Institute under the Tax Committee, Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation took part in the final game of the International contest on taxation “TaxInTashkent 2023”. The FinU team was represented by 2nd year students of the Faculty of Taxes, Audit and Business Analysis: Vitaly Kornilov, Arseniy Gamov, Vladimir Osipenko and Denis Prasovsky.

Among the student teams of Uzbekistan and CIS countries, the team of the Faculty of Taxes, Audit and Business Analysis took first place among the teams speaking in English in the international taxation competition “TaxInTashkent 2023” in Tashkent. Yulia Shepeleva, Deputy Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, congratulated the contestants on their well-deserved victory and presented an award for the first place of honor.

The team of prize-winners are students of the Faculty of Taxes, Audit and Business Analysis: Victoria Shishlo, Changlongfong Sok and Andrey Bondarenko. Team supervisor, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Taxes and Tax Administration of the Faculty of Taxes, Audit and Business Analysis.

As part of the international contest on taxation, the Tashkent International Week 2023 was organized by the Fiscal Institute under the Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan in partnership with the Tax Committee under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Dean of the Faculty of Taxes, Audit and Business Analysis, Vadim Zasko made a welcoming speech to the participants of the international conference and noted that currently the mainstream of proactive tax administration is contactless interaction between taxpayers and tax authorities. The plenary session was attended by teachers of the Faculty of Taxes, Audit and Business Analysis: Larisa Grundel, Deputy Dean for Project Management of the Faculty of Taxes, Audit and Business Analysis on the topic “Institutional and Legal Factors of Tax Administration Ecosystem Formation” and Denis Korovyakovsky, Professor of the Department of Taxes and Tax Administration of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation on the topic “Economic Model of Personnel Training for the System of Tax and Customs Authorities”.

As part of the international conference “Issues of Improving Taxation and Accounting in the Context of Economic Digitalization”, tax administration issues in the digital economy, accounting, economic analysis and audit in the digital economy, as well as issues of teaching humanities and foreign languages in the digital age were considered.

The international contest creates ample opportunities for students to immerse themselves deeply in international tax topics and move to new heights and achieve personal goals and objectives.
