On May 23, 2023, the Moscow Producer Center summed up the results of the VIII Open Festival “Moscow Student Spring”, which brought together more than 3,000 young people from 80 metropolitan universities. Students of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation became laureates of the Moscow Student Spring.

In the “Vocal” direction Angelina Zyatchina became the III degree winner with the song“Old Hotel”, the FinMuse band with the song “Stand up” won the title of the III degree winner, and VIA “Atmosphere” with the performance “Medley on Rock Songs” received the award of the III degree laureates. Also, Ekaterina Kindruk with the creative performance “Survive” won the I degree in the “Original Genre” direction, and Ekaterina Kharitonova performed “Kalinka” and became the III degree winner in the “Dance” direction. Congratulations to the students and wish them further success on their creative path!

A total of 1,080 applications were received for the festival this year. Participants competed in 52 nominations, in profile and non-profile categories, in large, small and solo performers. The most popular directions have traditionally been “Vocal” and “Dance”, and the most creative district of the festival is the central district of Moscow. Special developments this year are such areas as “Concert program”, “Original Genre”.

One of the features of the Moscow Student Spring this year was the holding of 6 district festivals, the program of which was seen by more than 1,000 viewers in person and more than 350,000 viewers online. The competition days were held on the stages of 5 cultural centers of the capital, including the legendary “ZIL”, the contestants demonstrated the skills in the mentioned field, the originality of a creative performance and stage culture. Before the beginning of the district stages, 17 Moscow universities also hosted official internal festivals of the Student Spring for the first time. As part of the final, city, competitive stage, competition days were held in 10 directions and 52 creative nominations. More than 2,300 performers took part in them, who presented 460 works.

“At the Gala concert we saw the brightest participants of this season. 172 artists performed in a program called “Symphony of the City”. Already on May 26, the Moscow delegation formed following the festival results will represent Moscow at the All-Russian festival “Russian Student Spring” in Perm. The delegation included 89 students who will present 20 competitive works and compete for the victory,” said Sergey Sokolov, Head of the Directorate of Programs and Projects of the Russian Union of Youth in Moscow.

The festival winners were chosen by more than 50 experts from among the cultural and art figures of the city. Among them are popular singers, alumni of the student spring, teachers and authors of recognizable creative projects. So, for example, the teachers of the Alexander Mogilev school worked as part of the Jury of the “Dance” direction, the works of the “Media” direction participants were evaluated by the deputy editor-in-chief of “Evening Moscow” Alexey Zernakov, and the jury of the “Concert Program” direction included actor Arthur Sopelnik.

The festival in Moscow is organized by the Russian Union of Youth and the project office “Youth of Moscow” of the City Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy of Moscow.​
