On April 26, 2023, FinU awarded the winners of the jubilee X competition “Laureate of the FinU Rector Award”. In a solemn atmosphere in the FinU Great Hall, diplomas were awarded to 57 prize winners.
The competition purpose is to develop the initiative of employees, introduce innovative approaches in the organization of FinU activities, identify and disseminate advanced pedagogical, scientific, methodological, organizational and managerial experience, and encourage the success of students and university staff. In total, during the contest, almost 2.5 thousand students, teachers and employees of the FinU became its participants.
The awarding ceremony was opened by the FinU Rector Stanislav Prokofiev. In his welcoming speech, the Rector noted the growing interest in the competition and the expansion of the nominees’ number. Stanislav Prokofiev thanked all the participants for their creative initiative and congratulated the laureates on their well-deserved victory, emphasizing the teachers’ contribution to the formation of the University’s prestige.
In 2023, the competition “Laureate of the FinU Rector Award” was held in 8 nominations. The innovation of the jubilee year was the establishment of the nomination “Leader of Regional Education”, where employees of branches – authors of significant projects for the regions’ economy are celebrated. Also, for the first time this year, as part of the nomination “Best in Creativity”, amateur participants and creative teams of the FinU were awarded.
132 applications from 370 employees and students were submitted for participation in the competition. 9 experts and 12 members of the Awarding Commission took part in the best projects’ selection.
By tradition, the awards were presented to the laureates by three generations of the FinU Rectors – Rector of the FinU S.E. Prokofiev, President of the FinU M.A. Eskindarov and Honorary President of the FinU A.G. Gryaznova.
