On March 27, 2023, FinU took part in the Third World Universities Summit organized by O.P. Jindal Global University (India), which is a platform for higher education institutions from all over the world to form Universities of the Future through cooperation.
“We should strive to create opportunities for students all over the world to participate in international programs and make internationalization more accessible,” Dr. Raj Kumar, founder and First Vice-Rector of O.P. Jindal Global University, said in the welcoming speech of the summit.
Representatives of the FinU (Russia), the American School of Paris (France), Lehigh University (USA), the University of Manchester (UK) shared their experience during the panel session “Exploring the World from the Inside: the Internal Internationalization of Education”. FinU was presented by the head of the International Cooperation Department Lilia Prikhodko. The discussion covered topics such as the development of cross-cultural skills in the educational process, the development of mobility programs using information technology, openness to learning from representatives of other cultures, as well as tools to support students at all stages of participation in international programs.
In conclusion, Dr. Mohan Kumar, Head of the Department of International Affairs of O.P. Jindal Global University and the panel session moderator noted that modern academic research combined with globalization and relevant social processes dictate new expectations from higher education institutions in terms of internalization.
