On March 28, 2023, a regular meeting of the FinU Academic Council was held.
At the beginning of the meeting, an agreement on cooperation between the FinU and Federal State Institution “Scientific Research Institute for System Analysis of the Russian Academy of Sciences” was signed in a solemn atmosphere. The subject of the agreement is the development and implementation of joint activities and projects in integration of education and research activities in higher education, the training of highly qualified scientific personnel for high-tech sectors of the Russian economy and the research activities’ implementation in promising areas of science and technology development.
Later, Deputy Head of the Department of Cooperation with specialized universities of Moscow “ConsultantPlus” Yu.E. Dyachkova presented awards to the winners of the Olympiad on the knowledge of the Legal Reference system “ConsultantPlus”.
According to tradition, the Rector of the FinU S.E. Prokofiev solemnly presented departmental and corporate awards to the FinU employees and congratulated the Academic Council members on their anniversary and birthday.
The working part of the Academic Council meeting began with the consideration of doctoral students’ reports on the individual plans’ implementation for the second year of studies and approval of the doctoral student’s individual plan.
Further, the Academic Council decided to submit teachers for the assignment of academic titles of professor and associate professor, as well as approved candidates for personal scholarships named after A.A. Sobchak, E.T. Gaidar, A.I. Solzhenitsyn in the 2023/2024 academic year, and also heard reports from the Vice-Rector for Continuing Education E.A. Didenko on the results of activities in continuing education in 2022 and tasks for 2023 and the Head of the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Mass Communications A.G. Tyurikov on the education quality assessment at the FinU in the first term of the 2022/2023 academic year.
Also, in accordance with the agenda of the Academic Council meeting, the draft Procedure for considering candidates for academic titles of professor and associate professor at the FinU was regarded; new academic programs of the FinU were approved; amendments were made to the regulations on the FinU branches and the chairmen composition of the FinU SEC branches.
