On March 17, 2023, a concert dedicated to the culture, traditions and customs of Azerbaijan and Russia was held at the FinU as part of the Friendship Bridge project. The meeting was organized by the International Students and Faculty Department. More than 200 people took part in the event.

Anatoly Kislyakov, Deputy Vice-Rector for Social Work and Extracurricular Activities of the FinU, welcomed the participants and guests of the holiday. “The Financial University is a huge multinational family, and we try to make our students communicate, exchange ideas and share cultural traditions, building invisible friendship bridges that will help them in the future. And today we will just build one of these bridges,” the Deputy Vice-Rector told the students.

The honorary guest of the event was Zaur Pashayev, Adviser to the Embassy of Azerbaijan on Humanitarian Issues in the Russian Federation. Zaur Pashayev noted the importance of international cultural festivals aimed at uniting the youth of Azerbaijan and Russia. He also added that studying at the FinU – a leader in training in economics and finance – is the basis for further interaction between specialists of the countries.

The students were also welcomed by the project coordinator AMOR Ramin Rajabov. In his address, he expressed gratitude to the FinU administration for the opportunities for career growth and personal development that the FinU provides to students.

As part of the event program, the guests watched a festive concert with the performance of dance groups and creative performance shows. The festival program was completed by several workshops, where the guests got to know the peculiarities of national cuisine and tasted traditional dishes, participated in a tea ceremony and learned more about backgammon.
