On March 15, 2023, an expert group meeting was held on the basis of the FinU to develop a comprehensive model of training and professional development of the higher school teaching staff to improve the quality of educational practices.
The meeting participants, representatives of leading universities and scientific organizations, were welcomed by the Rector of the FinU Stanislav Prokofiev. In his opening remarks, the Rector noted that the project on training and professional development of higher school teachers was launched at the university last year. Stanislav Prokofiev expressed gratitude to the Government of the Russian Federation for the trust and the opportunity to implement the project with the Financial University, taking into account the opinion of the professional community nationwide, and also thanked the experts for the productive joint work.
Assistant to the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko Antony Schwindt during his speech noted the importance of the chosen meeting topic and drew particular attention to the importance of introducing new motivational models, tools and techniques for the professional development of teachers to improve the quality of educational practices. The expert also added that it is important to synchronize changes for high-quality training.
As part of the event program, experts discussed the stages of working at a professional development model of higher school teachers, important blocks of skills, as well as modernization of approaches to personnel training, improvement of management processes at universities and the applicability of corporate governance methods in the educational sphere.
