On March 6, 2023, a festive concert dedicated to the FinU birthday was held at the University. The holiday theme was the connection of FinU alumni’s generations.

The event participants and guests were welcomed by the Rector of the FinU Stanislav Prokofiev.

“For 104 years of its history, FinU has become one of the largest universities in our country and has produced professionals who have developed the economy of the Soviet Union, Russia and many foreign countries over the years. FinU is consistently among the best universities in the country and the world,” said the Rector.

In his welcoming speech, Stanislav Prokofiev stressed the importance of the family principle, which will become the basis of a new tradition to celebrate the FinU birthday.

“The new tradition includes a key principle – there are no former alumni of the FinU. We try to have them come to us throughout their lives, study here and help us educate a new generation of professionals. We have a decent past, a good present, and, I am sure, a brilliant future,” noted the Rector.

Honorary President of the FinU Alla Gryaznova addressed the students, thanking them for their creative approach, bright and laconic history representation of the University and of the country.

The artists introduced the audience to the main stages of the University’s development history, expressing the main idea – despite the time differences, all FinU alumni – from the first alumni of Soviet Russia to current students – are very similar: they are active and inquisitive young people who are led by wise and dedicated mentors, paving the way through the storms of change.

The concert ended with the performance of the anthem of the FinU.
