On February 28, 2023, FinU hosted a meeting of the FinU administration and the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which included representatives of the State Tax Committee and the Fiscal Institute under the State Tax Committee. During the meeting, the participants discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in science and education.

The FinU guests were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Academic and Methodological Work of the FinU Ekaterina Kameneva. In her opening remarks, the Vice-Rector noted that the FinU and the Fiscal Institute have been actively cooperating for two years, joint educational programs are being implemented.

In turn, Deputy Head of International Tax Relations Department of the State Tax Committee Nafisa Sadullayeva expressed gratitude to the FinU administration for organizing a meeting and inviting students from Uzbekistan to participate in the competition on international taxation on the basis of the FinU. She also stressed the importance of implementing relevant international projects.

Vice-Rector for Youth and Spiritual and Educational Work and Professional Development of the Fiscal Institute Firdavs Tillayev in his opening speech emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in academic and student exchange, organizing lectures and workshops in taxation.

During the negotiations, the parties also expressed interest in expanding cooperation between the universities in the organization of events aimed at involving students in research activities, the preparation of joint textbooks and workshops, as well as the implementation of professional development and training projects.

On behalf of the FinU, the meeting was also attended by  Vice-Rector for Continuing Education Elena Didenko, Head of the International Cooperation Department Lilia Prikhodko, Dean of the Faculty of Taxes, Audit and Business Analysis Vadim Zasko.

In conclusion, the parties expressed confidence in the need to develop and strengthen Russian-Uzbek relations.
