On February 20, 2023, as part of the FinU delegation visit to the Republic of India, a round table with the Indian universities’ participation on the topic “Education Internationalization as a Determining Factor in the University Competitiveness Development” was held at the site of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Delhi.

The round table moderators were the FinU Vice-Rector for Educational and Methodological Work Ekaterina Kameneva and Vice-Rector for Continuing Education Elena Didenko. The Dean of the Faculty of International Economic Relations Pavel Seleznev and the directors of the structural units of continuing education also took part in the round table on behalf of the FinU.

The event was also attended by the heads of Russian organizations in international cooperation in India – Oleg Osipov, head of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Delhi, Alexander Rybas, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India, and Evgeny Griva, Deputy Trade Representative of Russia in India.

FinU Representatives told their Indian colleagues in detail about the development directions of FinU international cooperation in the areas of higher, additional and business education, as well as about the opportunities that the FinU has in building multilateral cooperation in the educational sphere with Indian universities.

Vice-Rector for Continuing Education Elena Didenko spoke about the preparation by the FinU of the launch of a new business education program “Doing Business in Russia” and invited Indian universities’ representatives  to actively participate in its development and implementation. The “Doing Business in Russia” program will allow Indian entrepreneurs from small and medium-sized businesses to learn how to successfully conduct business in Russia, teach them how to register a company, certify and license activities, carry out foreign economic cooperation, know the rules of tax regulation, customs and currency control, etc.

Noting the importance of the “Doing Business in Russia” program, Evgeny Griva, Deputy Trade Representative of Russia in India., noted that there are several hundred million small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in India who are ready to do business in Russia. At the same time, although there is not enough information about India itself, it is a very attractive country for Russian business.

After the round table, the FinU delegation held a meeting with college students at the Russian Embassy in India, where the FinU Vice-Rector for Educational and Methodological Work Ekaterina Kameneva made a presentation of the University and told how to decide on the choice of specialty and effectively prepare for admission to the university.
