On February 12, 2023, an Open Day was held at the FinU, where all faculties, bachelor’s, specialist’s and master’s degree academic programs, as well as projects in pre-university training and advanced training were presented.

The meeting was opened by the Rector of the FinU Stanislav Prokofiev, who outlined the reasons for entering the FinU – the key features that make up its essence and distinguish it from other top universities.

“By entering the FinU, you become part of a unique community of creative and successful people united by a common past and present.  Over the FinU  history, more than half a million highly qualified specialists in economics, finance and management have graduated.  Our university has trained 6 finance ministers and many other outstanding people. Today, the heads of the country’s largest banks are our alumni.  All of them are united by respect for their native university and study there all their lives,” the Rector said.

Stanislav Prokofiev emphasized that the FinU forms the intellectual elite of the country: last year more than 500 winners and prize-winners of the All-Russian Olympiads became students, acting heads of ministries and departments, big businessmen and well-known politicians study at the master’s degree programs and postgraduate studies. The brand of the FinU is also recognized abroad, more than 2 thousand students from 90 countries of the world are studying under the FinU academic programs.

“Responding to the modern challenges of the labor market, this year the FinU is launching a new educational model – a unique project of combining two degrees in a diploma that will open up new career opportunities for you after graduation,” the Rector addressed future applicants.

As part of the pilot project, it is planned to combine such specialties as business audit and law, international communications and corporate culture, corporate reporting and business law, and others. The Rector noted that the FinU, following the concept of education continuity, trains specialists of a new type who can find non-standard solutions and use high-tech and digital tools.

Concluding his speech, Stanislav Prokofiev stressed that the FinU is a federal university, and it is accessible not only to Moscow citizens, but also to children from the regions.

“Today we have 9 beautiful, modern residence halls, which are located in the city center, near metro stations or near academic buildings. We create such conditions for nonresident students so that they can study and live comfortably,” the Rector said.

He assured applicants and their parents that in case of successful admission, students will live in absolutely comfortable conditions, use the entire modern infrastructure of the FinU, during their studies, and they will be able to recover after exams at the Lesnoe Ozero Resort, where activists regularly hold sports and creative events.

The official part of the Open Doors Day was continued by the Vice-Rector for Marketing and Work with Applicants Svetlana Bryukhovetskaya, telling the guests about the admission rules in 2023. She drew the attention of the meeting participants to the specifics of filing documents and admission stages, told about the accounting of individual achievements and the Olympiad movement.

As part of the Open Doors Day program, future applicants also talked with volunteers and representatives of the FinU Student Council, took part in specialized workshops, and saw the performances of the FinU creative teams.
