On December 7, 2022, an expert session of the Federal Service for Supervision of Education and Science “Formation of Approaches to Conducting Accreditation Monitoring for Higher Education Programs” was held at the FinU.

 

The plenary session was attended by Deputy Head of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for Scientific and Educational Policy Yulia Linskaya, Deputy Chief of Staff of the State Duma Committee Vadim Egorov, President of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Eskindarov, Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Education and Science Anzor Muzaev, Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Supervision in the field of education and science Svetlana Kochetova, Director of Development of Prosveshcheniye, member of the Public Council of Rosobrnadzor Natalia Altynikova.

 

The event opened with a welcoming speech by Mikhail Eskindarov, who noted that FinU has always been and remains open both for dialogue with supervisory authorities in education and for cooperation with other universities, whose presence at the FinU sites is always a joyful event for the host party. 

 

In turn, Anzor Muzaev thanked the FinaU for the provided platform and noted the traditionally high degree of the University’s involvement in developing federal laws and educational standards.

“It is important to keep in mind that the process of state accreditation and the formation of monitoring methods should not be considered by universities only in the context of their well-being, and compliance with all standards is necessary not only and not so much for the successful passage of bureaucratic procedures. We need to treat it as an opportunity to improve the quality of education in the Russian Federation,” concluded Anzor Muzaev.

 

After the welcoming words, the guests and participants of the event were presented the approbation results of the accreditation monitoring for universities, which were presented by Natalia Altynikova.

 

Nine working groups fulfilled the task assigned to them – to critically look at the system of indicators and the methodology for calculating accreditation monitoring and give suggestions for improvement. Then there was a discussion of the strategic session results and summing up.

The strategic session was attended by about 200 people – representatives of 70 educational organizations of Russia, members of the federal educational and methodological association of higher education, authorities, industry councils for professional qualifications. The session was held in a constructive manner, the participants expressed the hope that fruitful cooperation aimed at the development of education in Russia will continue.
