On November 23, 2022, Alexey Egorov, Rector of the Belarus State Economic University, member of the Standing Committee on Legislation of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, gave an open lecture at the FinU.
The topic of the lecture is “Legal Aspects of the Union State Programs’ Implementation in the Field of Economy”.
The meeting initiators and organizers were the Faculty of Economics and Business and the Department of Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance. The event was held as part of the VII FinU International Forum “Economic Fights without Rules: Tips for Victory” and the International Academic Mobility of Research and Faculty.

This October, a FinU delegation of headed by Rector Stanislav Prokofiev visited the Belarus State Economic University, where an interuniversity agreement on the academic mobility program implementation was signed.
Before the event, representatives of the FinU and representatives of the Belarusian State Economic University – Rector Alexey Egorov and Vice-Rector Tatiana Sadovskaya – took a tour of the academic building on Kibalchicha street and held talks, during which they discussed the creation of joint educational programs for bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as academic mobility of research and faculty.

At the beginning of his speech, Alexey Egorov briefly spoke about the Union State, about integration and its role in politics and economics, as well as about Union programs to deepen integration, which relate to economic growth, emphasizing that each economic program should be supported by certain legal decisions, focusing on unification in the field of legislation.
In addition, during the lecture, Alexey Egorov spoke about the legal system of the Republic of Belarus, which includes a whole complex of various fragments of European and Eurasian law.
He paid special attention to the social block of integration rapprochement, touching upon issues related to educational systems, terminology for conducting a coordinated policy in the field of citizens’ rights and their implementation on the territory of Russia and Belarus, focusing on union construction.
After the lecture, students of the Faculty of Economics and Business and meeting participants were able to personally ask Alexey Egorov questions about how Belarusian lawyers specialize in Russian law, what is the ultimate goal of integration between Russia and Belarus and how the municipal government works in the Republic of Belarus.
Summing up the meeting, the Rector of the Belarus State Economic University thanked the participants for an interesting and constructive dialogue and once again stressed the importance of integration in the sphere of Union State economic programs.
