On October 27, 2022, during the third day of his business trip to Belarus, Stanislav Prokofiev, FinU Rector, met with Igor Petrishenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus.
During the meeting, the parties discussed possible areas of cooperation, including holding Days of Belarus at the FinU, intensification of academic mobility and interuniversity exchanges, in particular the development of the “Visiting Professor” program with the participation of partner universities’ faculty from Belarus. Special attention was paid to the ideological and patriotic education of Russian and Belarusian youth.
Also, the Rector of the FinU Stanislav Prokofiev held a working meeting with the First Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Irina Starovoitova. The topic of the meeting was the cooperation development discussion between the FinU and the leading universities of Belarus as well as opportunities for the design and implementation of joint educational programs, modules and inclusive education programs in connection with the current changes in the Republic legislation in education.
A delegation of the FinU headed by Rector Stanislav Prokofiev visited the Belarus State Economic University, where they held talks with the university’s administration. Following the meeting, Stanislav Prokofiev, FinU Rector, and Alexey Egorov, Rector of BSEU, signed an agreement on the academic mobility program implementation and exchanged souvenirs.
Also during the visit, the Vice-Rector for Academic and Methodological Work of the FinU Ekaterina Kameneva gave an open lecture to the BSEU students of the Faculty of Finance and Banking on the topic “Identification of the Financial Instruments’ True Value”.
The official visit of the FinU delegation to BSEU ended with a visit to the updated library and museum of the university’s history.
