On June 15-18, 2022, the XXV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) was held – one of the largest business events in the world, dedicated to the current challenges of the global and Russian economy, key issues of social and technological development. 

 

Within the framework of the Forum, Rector of the Financial University Prof. Stanislav Prokofiev, Doctor of Economics, signed cooperation agreements with rectors of leading universities and heads of companies. Cooperation with partners will cover a range of areas in the field of educational, scientific, entrepreneurial, and cultural activities.

 

On June 14, 2022, as part of the business program of the Forum, Stanislav Prokofiev visited St. Petersburg State University of Economics. During the visit, an agreement on cooperation between universities was signed. Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the Financial University, and Igor Maksimtsev, Rector of St. Petersburg State University, signed a document according to which joint educational, scientific, and practical programs will be developed and assistance will be provided in developing innovative projects. Within the framework of cooperation, it is also planned to launch academic exchange programs among faculty and students and conduct joint scientific research in promising areas of the economy.

 

On June 16, 2022, Financial University and VTB Bank signed an agreement on long-term cooperation. The document was signed by Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the Financial University, and Andrey Kostin, President and Chairman of the Management Board of VTB Bank.

 

“The signed agreement will consolidate the already existing partnerships and become a driving force for implementing new interesting initiatives. And, of course, the participation of one of the leaders of the domestic financial market, VTB Bank, in the educational process will contribute to building up students’ skills and professional competencies necessary for effective work in the conditions of forming a new model of economic development of our country,” said Stanislav Prokofiev. Within the framework of cooperation, it is planned to conduct joint scientific and technological projects and organize internships. VTB also plans to develop financial services for students and university staff, participate in the formation of endowment and scholarship funds of the University.

 

On the same day, Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and Plekhanov Russian University of Economics also signed a cooperation agreement. Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the Financial University, and Ivan Lobanov, Rector of the Russian University of Economics, signed a document according to which the universities will develop joint educational programs and implement a number of socially significant scientific and cultural events and projects. Academic exchange of students and teachers and joint scientific research in promising areas in the field of economics, management and digital technologies are also planned within the framework of cooperation.

 

On June 17, 2022, Financial University and the Higher School of Economics signed an agreement on long-term cooperation. According to the document signed by Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the Financial University, and Nikita Anisimov, Rector of the Higher School of Economics, cooperation between universities will develop in a range of directions, including educational, scientific, and extracurricular activities.  Within the framework of cooperation, it is planned to develop joint educational programs using advanced educational technologies, form new research ties, organize academic exchanges and specialized events.

 

An agreement was also signed between the Financial University and the Institute of Demographic Policy named after D.I. Mendeleev at the SPIEF-2022 site. The document was signed by Stanislav Prokofiev, Rector of the Financial University, and Valery Ivanitsky, Scientific Director of the Institute of Demographic Policy. The honorary guest of the signing ceremony was the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District Igor Shchegolev, curator of the Institute.

 

The purpose of the joint work is to analyze the best corporate practices that contribute to the sustainable development of business and society as a whole, to develop and implement proposals aimed at improving the effectiveness of demographic measures. Among the main areas of cooperation are the organization of scientific research and joint specialized events, as well as the implementation of programs in the field of additional education.
