On April 14, 2022, a solemn ceremony of signing a cooperation agreement between the Federal State Educational Institution of Higher Education “Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation” and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation took place. On behalf of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, the agreement was signed by Rector Stanislav Prokofiev. The CCI of the Russian Federation was represented by President Sergey Katyrin.

Rector Prokofiev noted that during changing global economic conditions, crisis consequences in the financial sphere and geopolitical challenges, it is essential to develop a socially oriented economy, to integrate it into the world economic system, to develop entrepreneurship, and strengthen cooperation in joint research activities. This cooperation is meant to develop the investment climate, entrepreneurial initiative and financial mechanisms using scientific analysis and practice, also protecting the country’s interests in the global economic space. Stanislav Prokofiev stressed the importance of cooperation with the entire CCI system, highlighting the importance of the Federal Chamber as an expert organization and a platform for developing economic policy.

Rector Prokofiev identified three key tasks:

- training of professionals;

- expert and scientific activity;

- focus on project-based entrepreneurial approach, development and support of student startups, business projects.

Sergey Katyrin spoke about the decision to formalize with an appropriate agreement the long-term cooperation and successful work in professional and additional education, as well as expert support of entrepreneurial activity. Heads of FinU Institutes and Departments are permanent and active members of CCI relevant committees and councils.

FinU experts, in particular, those who are focused on the financial market development, inter-budgetary relations and tax policy, participate in preparation of CCI proposals, which are further sent to the Government of the Russian Federation. Currently, active joint work is carried out within the State Council working groups.

According to Head of the CCI of the Russian Federation, today the Chamber and the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation have several relevant tracks for interaction that require special attention and can be implemented with the assistance of the CCI of the Russian Federation. For example, improving the financial literacy of entrepreneurs, as well as of a technology transfer system development.

Undoubtedly, the agreement will significantly expand the range of areas of cooperation and significantly improve the quality of joint work on training highly qualified personnel to strengthen the economic potential of the country, as well as allow the University to actively engage in priority joint projects and projects in the field of entrepreneurship. The parties are convinced that cooperation will become a fruitful and reliable foundation for the successful implementation of scientific and educational programs in promising areas of joint activity.
